[request] Java Tutorials

Dear forum colleagues, I would like to know if someone can provide me some good Java tutorials, because I am at a basic level and I want to go further with my knowledge.

I don't like Java, I may have a few programs I made last year knocking about on my server, I will have a look this weekend to see if I can dig them out, and I'll keep you informed

Why Java ?.. hmmz, because it is a challenge for me to learn new programming languages, and Java is one of the most used programming language, so why not learn .

lol whoops.. Believe it or not I've not forgotten about my promise, I know your curiosity in Java won't die out in just a couple of weeks, but will get the programs available if I can find them soon.

I think they were just console apps though, is that still of use?

I never got into using forms with Java, I wouldn't mind learning how to do that myself, as like you said; a challenge is good!

I've found 2 of 3 assignments which I did on basic Java Console apps, will post them once I find the final copy, probably within the next 12 hours

lol I am not giving myself a good name regarding my own reliability here am I lol, but literally about 5 minutes after I posted that message my entire house had a power cut. Not a major problem until it came back on and I found my server had taken a bad reaction to the quick power loss Hence me disappearing from Talkmaster for so long, I needed time to fix it and recover my large amount of data lol.

I do wish you all the best with your learning of Java though, and if you have any quick questions, shoot them up here and I'd be more than happy to go out of my way to help you with them. I'm no expert though, I simply learnt it, did it, and slowly forgot most of it lol.

I must admit I wasn't as interested in Java as I am the .NET framework and c++.

I'd love to test some of your apps on Windows though!!
